Prairie Crossing

Our Prairie Crossing project utilizes three plots, donated by the Liberty Prairie Foundation, to grow healthy food for distribution to veterans while providing horticultural therapy for vets suffering from war-related disorders.

Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis to perform a number of tasks.

Volunteer Tasks
Tilling, Weeding, Planting, Caring and Harvesting produce grown on land donated by the Liberty Prairie Foundation in Grayslake. Specific tasks are determined by the agricultural cycle.

Volunteer Scheduling
Every Saturday between 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM is volunteer day. However, for groups, we are open to considering alternative days and times. Please contact Marshall Fox to discuss day, time and tasks.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
