In 2018 the Gurnee American Legion Post #771 gave Growing Healthy Veterans the use of land to build their Hoop House Project.
Commander Jim Huisel went to Milwaukee with GHV Board President, Ellen Ewing, to meet with Will Allen of Growing Power. Growing Power generously donated the frame for a 20”x48” hoop house.
